I'm sure that you have those friends that you don't see very often, but when you do you always seem to connect in a big way. Well, that is the was it is with Kara. She is truly one of my favorite people. I think it is her spirit and, of course, her wonderful bawdy laugh.
Kara lives in the Netherlands and so we don't see her very often, but she came to visit this June and she brought Audrey, her wife. We had heard all about Audrey on Kara's last visit and were anxious to meet her. In two words "LOVED HER." We had a family dinner at my mother's. It was truly like family. Audrey fit right in. We had a wonderful time together.
I just wished they lived closer.
